Suada

It's a floating platform opposite the Bosphorus village of Kuruçesme that, years ago, was privately owned by the football/soccer team Galatasaray. Suada is now a beach club by day, and overwrought Istanbullus descend upon it to laze about and swim in the island's pool. The sound gets turned up at night, when the "island" nightclub gets cranking. There's a chic bar and two restaurants -- Suada Club Kebap and Arsipel -- surrounded by the thousands of twinkling lights from both the European and Asian shores of the Bosphorus. The food is top-notch, but seriously, who cares? There's a complementary boat shuttle from Kuruçesme. Daytime entrance fee (for use of the Olympic-size pool) is 50TL weekdays, 70TL Saturday and Sunday.
