Lokanta at Nu Pera/Nu Teras

Nu Pera is actually the name of a renovated building in the neighborhood of Pera, now an utterly reborn neighborhood chock-full of cafes and restaurants. In summer the rooftop Lokanta Teras Restaurant offers an elegant and upscale atmosphere and views of a twinkling city -- one of my favorite dining spots, actually. The blackboard "tapas" menu at the rear bar is a favorite. In winter, the party moves to more cramped quarters on the ground-floor level. Open daily noon to 3pm and 7 to 12:30am (until 4am on weekends).
