Vareli re-creates the atmosphere of the Byzantine wine houses of old. Wine barrels and wooden bar tables from Bozcaada optimize the medieval feel of the place, and paving stones from the Mürefte coast, famous for its wine production, keep the cellar cool. The wine cellar stocks a wide range of Turkish wines, including Kavaklidere's top-of-the-line Kaleçi Karasi and Öküzgözü. Local and imported cheeses, French ham, seviche, and even a duck entree round out the menu, keeping your taste buds jumping from sheer pleasure. If that's not enough, there's scheduled live music nightly Monday through Saturday. Open daily 11am to 3am.
