Currency Exchange -- A dövis, or currency exchange office, is in the international terminal of Izmir's airport. The post office (PTT) offers extremely competitive rates of exchange, while all hotels provide exchange services. Private exchange offices typically offer better rates than banks; look for the DÖVIS sign around the Izmir Hilton Hotel and in the Konak section, around Anafartalar Caddesi. Keep in mind that hotels are notorious for offering the worst rates of exchange.
