Izmir Hilton

The Izmir Hilton needs no listing; the Hiltons are all excellent and they're all the same. This one opened in 1992 to provide a world-class, five-star facility in a town full of wannabes. Now, however, with the arrival of the Swissôtel Grand Efes down the street, along with a whole host of reasonably priced four- and five-star options, the competition is stiff. The staff is professional and dignified; the common areas sparkle; the rooms are plush, and user-friendly; and there isn't a thing the management hasn't thought of to make your stay seamless. And in typical American-management style, there is a price tag on every extra little thing you do.
