Frommer's Review
This attractive, busy place has a young, friendly spirit. It serves a gigantic menu of stylishly prepared meats, although you can find a vegetarian stir-fried noodle dish tucked into the menu. There are daily specials written on a blackboard (ask your waiter to fill you in), such as an excellent, mildly exotic fillet mignon marinated in red wine and coconut milk, but you'll also find a broad selection of more standard beef, lamb, and poultry dishes. Joy's offerings range from flavorful lamb burgers (best not to order well done, or even medium, or they tend to be dry) and a variety of chicken wings, to duck in passion fruit gravy and filet mignon in tamarind sauce and garlic confit. An excellent side salad comes with the Joyburger, and the delicious herbed french fries and garlic sweet potatoes are worthwhile side dishes. Fruit sorbets are the dessert of choice. Joy Grill prides itself on its 20 kinds of beers.
