Frommer's Review
The most beautiful, atmospheric place to stay in the Old City (and perhaps in all of Jerusalem), this well-run guesthouse occupies a series of restored stone buildings and terraced gardens overlooking the main bazaar, a 4-minute walk from Jaffa Gate. Here, guests can experience the atmosphere inside the Old City walls from a secluded oasis that has breathtaking views of the Dome of the Rock. Rooms (renovated in 2003) are of Jerusalem stone and simply furnished but comfortable; most bathrooms have showers only. The site is shared by, but separated from, the Evangelical Lutheran Hostel. Although this part of the Old City, bordering the Jewish Quarter and the Jaffa Gate, is safe, a drawback for some might be the idea of walking to the guesthouse at night. Visitors of all backgrounds are welcome. Free coffee and tea are served. Call for directions before arrival and arrange a baggage porter to meet you.
Facilities:
Dining room; lounge; garden; use of kitchen in hostel

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
