Frommer's Review
Originally planned as a residential hotel, the modern, relatively high-rise Ariel offers a variety of room sizes (some quite large) and arrangements, which makes this a good choice for families or small groups. Public areas have been recently redone with sparkling polished stone and glitzy furniture. Decor in private rooms is utilitarian and varies greatly, but there may be renovations within the next 2 years. Rooms with views of Mount Zion cost $20 per person extra; some rooms are equipped for guests with disabilities. The hotel is not far from Liberty Bell Park, the Cinémathèque, and the beautiful Yemin Moshe neighborhood, with its gardens and marvelous vistas. A block away, across from the railroad station, you'll find buses to every part of town.
