Frommer's Review
This well-run Anglican/Episcopal establishment offers private rooms housed in a cloister around an English garden. Accommodations are simple; they were redecorated in 1996 (new bathrooms were also installed at that time), and the ambience is both evocative and comfortable. Rooms vary, so ask if you can have a look at a few before taking one. There's a charming Jerusalem stone bar in the basement, and the entire very British enclave seems like the setting for a chapter of The Jewel in the Crown. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful.
To find it, walk up Nablus Road and you'll be approaching Saint George's Cathedral on the right. The hotel is in the cathedral compound, where Nablus Road and Saladin Street meet. Bus no. 27 comes right to the door of Saint George's (bus noise may be a problem for some).
