Frommer's Review
This nonprofit shop sells a magnificent collection of densely embroidered divan pillowcases, wall hangings, and shawls, all alive with traditional motifs and colors. Many fabulous pieces are less than NIS 450 ($100). There are also heavy woven Bedouin tent rugs, embroidered linen tablecloths and napkins, and a good selection of inexpensive handmade crafts and gift items. Custom-tailored jackets and other fashion items can be ordered. The shop is run with an excellent eye for beautiful things. It is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm as well as Sunday from 11am to 1pm. The shop is in the Saint Andrew's complex, on a hill between the train station and the Cinémathèque, and is close to the House of Quality where a number of quality Israelis artists have their workshops.
