Dining at Jimbaran's fine resorts is a good, safe option: Try PJ's at the Four Seasons for a beachside Sunday brunch or the Ritz-Carlton's Dava for a sexy dinner with a fantastic ocean view. But remember, folks come from far and wide for the good, fresh seafood barbecue, priced by the pound, served at beachside. Look for Menega Cafe (tel. 361/705888; www.menega.com/cafe.html), which stands out for its more unique grilling approach among the row of restaurants that basically offer the same thing. Lobster and snapper are served with dipping sauces, rice, cucumber salad, and spinach cooked in sweet chile. Follow it up with some fresh fruit. It's romantic at sunset and afterwards by candlelight -- and it's inexpensive, too.
