In northeast Kansas City, not far from Worlds of Fun, this casual family restaurant is located in an expanded 1829 log cabin and farmhouse. It specializes in pan-fried chicken served with all the trimmings, but it also offers steaks, catfish, and sandwiches. There's a children's menu, a piano player obliges with old-time favorites, and portions are so hearty that few leave without doggie bags. Expect a long wait on weekends.
