Frommer's Review
Those who have fantasies about spending their night in a prison can get their wish granted here -- but they'll get comfort too. Back in the mid-19th century, this establishment was a prison, and there remains a prison museum in its basement. But today it's been successfully converted into a hotel where you won't feel imprisoned at all. The exterior is still a bit foreboding, but inside it warms considerably. The public rooms have been tastefully decorated, as have the rather small bedrooms, which are nonetheless inviting, with private tiled bathrooms with shower units. Even though it's a bizarre setting for a hotel, the place has its devotees and does a lot of repeat business with visiting Swedes.
Facilities:
Dining room; pool for dips only; sauna; babysitting; laundry service; nonsmoking rooms; rooms for those w/limited mobility
