Planning a Trip

Getting There

By Train -- Trains run frequently between Kolding and Padborg on the northern German border (trip time: 70 min.). Frequent trains also arrive from Frederikshavn in the north of Jutland (4 hr.). Trains also cut across Jutland, reaching Esbjerg in the west in just under an hour.

By Car -- After taking the bridge from Funen in the east, follow Route 161 into Kolding. If you're already in West Jutland, perhaps in Esbjerg, you can cut across Jutland along motorway E20 until you reach Kolding as you near the east coast.

Kolding Tourist Information, Akseltorv 8 (tel. 76-33-21-00; www.visitkolding.dk), is open Monday through Friday 9:30am to 7pm and Saturday 9:30am to 2pm.
