Frommer's Review
This is a good, reliable choice, and sometimes that is just what you're looking for when you overnight in a provincial Swedish town. The largest and most centrally located hotel in Kristianstad occupies a position near the railway station; it was built in the early 1960s and features a conservative brick facade. In 1985, its size was doubled with a new four-story wing, and the interior was radically modernized; it is now one of the best in town, though lacking the character of the previous choice. Today you'll find a series of busy conference rooms and bedrooms that are conservatively outfitted in a style that's just a bit banal but very comfortable, with ample bathrooms equipped with tub/showers.
An in-house restaurant serves lunch and dinner daily. The bar is a two-story space named Grands. A separate restaurant, open only on Saturday nights, features a live orchestra that offers contemporary and supper-club dance music for cheek-to-cheek dancing. Computers are available for use by guests.
