Getting There

By Plane -- The nearest airport (the Kristianstad Airport) is 20km (12 miles) southwest of town. Accessing the town from the airport requires transit by taxi (310SEK/$62/£31 each way), or by Flygbuss for a charge of 100SEK ($20/£10) per person each way. Transit time takes 15 minutes, and bus departures are timed to coincide with the arrivals of airplanes.

By Train -- There is frequent rail service throughout the day from Malmö; the trip takes 1 hour and 15 minutes. The train and the bus stations here are both within a 10-minute walk of the town's major hotels. Call tel. 0771/75-75-75.

By Bus -- Local buses arrive several times a day from Ystad (trip time: 1 hr., 30 min.) and also from Simrishamn (same trip time). Call tel. 0711/77-77-77.

By Car -- From Simrishamn, our last stopover, head northwest along Route 10 until you come to the junction with Route 118, at which point you go north into Kristianstad.
