Getting There -- Krumpendorf is both an express and a local stop on the train lines heading west from Klagenfurt to Villach. Two or three trains per hour arrive from both directions. The train ride from Klagenfurt takes about 8 minutes; call tel. 05/1717 for train schedules.
Although several daily buses depart from Klagenfurt's main railway station every day for the 15-minute ride to Krumpendorf, most travelers prefer the train. For bus information, call tel. 0463/54340 in Klagenfurt.
If you're driving from Klagenfurt, head west on Route 83 to the first exit for Krumpendorf, 10km (6 1/2 miles) west of Klagenfurt.
Visitor Information -- The tourist office, Hauptstrasse 145 (tel. 4229/2313), in the town center is open only in summer Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
