Getting There

By Train & Bus -- Take the train to Jokkmokk, from which you must change to a bus to Kvikkjokk. For rail information and schedules, call tel. 0771/75-75-75. Two buses per day run between Jokkmokk and Kvikkjokk, a distance of 119km (74 miles). Unfortunately, the buses don't always connect with train arrivals from Stockholm. By Car -- Take E4 north from Stockholm to Luleå, then head northwest along Route 97 through Boden to Jokkmokk. To get here from Jokkmokk, drive north on Route 45. After passing the town of Vaikijaur, turn west on a secondary road, following the signs to Klubbudden. Continue west on this road, passing through the towns of Tjåmotis, Njavve, and Arrenjarka until you reach Kvikkjokk.
