Frommer's Review
Near the Matsubaya, this pleasant and spotlessly clean member of the Japanese Inn Group offers nicely decorated rooms -- some with old-style ceilings and woodwork -- in a 80-year-old traditional wooden building with an inner courtyard garden. The owner, who inherited the inn from her grandfather, is friendly and accommodating and does her best to communicate, even though her English is limited. There's an international phone that accepts credit cards. A Japanese breakfast is available if you order it the night before. The ryokan locks its doors at 11pm.
Facilities:
Coin-op washer and dryer (w/free detergent)
