The fact that this family-owned business is located at the Nishiki-Koji market is appropriate, as it sells hand-wrought knives and other handmade cooking implements, including sushi knives, bamboo steamers, pots, pans, and cookware used in the preparation of traditional Kyoto cuisine. In business for 400 years, the shop counts the city's top chefs among its customers. It also sells ikebana scissors. Open daily 9am to 5:30pm.
