If you're looking for a good cup of coffee, try The Vogue, 117 E. Woodin Ave. (tel. 509/888-5282; www.thevoguelounge.com) in downtown Chelan. This espresso bar also sells local wines. For light lunches, the patio at Vin du Lac/Chelan Wine Company, 105 Wash. 150, Chelan (tel. 866/455-9463 or 509/682-2882; www.chelanwine.com), is the prettiest spot for a meal and also has the best view. For a good, though limited, dinner menu in Manson, head to Wapato Point Cellars, 200 Quetilquasoon Rd., Manson (tel. 509/687-4000; www.wapatopointcellars.com).
The dining options in Stehekin are slim, and if you plan to stay in a cabin or camp out, be sure to bring all the food you'll need. Otherwise, simple meals are available at Stehekin Landing Resort (tel. 509/682-4494; www.stehekinlanding.com), which is right at the ferry landing in Stehekin. Note that during the winter, the restaurant here is open for three meals a day only on weekends; weekdays, only lunch is available. When you just must have something sweet, you're in luck; the Stehekin Pastry Company (tel. 509/682-4677), just 2 miles up valley from the boat landing, serves pastries and ice cream, as well as pizza and espresso.
