The majority of the accommodations are located "in the village," as residents call Lanai City. Above the village is the luxurious Lodge at Koele, while down the hill at Hulopoe Bay are two options: the equally luxurious Four Seasons Resort Lana'i at Manele Bay or tent camping under the stars at the park.
In addition to the choices listed below, also consider the B&B accommodations offered by Delores Fabrao (tel. 808/565-6134; dmfabrao@hotmail.com), who has two guest rooms in her home: a double with a shared bathroom and a family room that sleeps up to six with a private bathroom. This is the most terrific deal on Lanai, with prices unchanged for the last 10 years ($55 double, $100 for four). She doesn't provide breakfast, but you'll have the run of the entire house, including the kitchen. If she has any of her homemade jams or jellies, buy as many jars as you can! At Hale Moe (tel. 808/565-9520 or 808/565-6656; www.staylanai.com), host and Lanai native Momi Suzuki makes three bedrooms in her Lanai City home available to guests; all have private bathrooms ($80-$90 double). Guests are welcome to use the entertainment center, large deck, and her bicycle. She also has a vacation rental house for $300. Hale O Lanai, in Lanai City (tel. 808/247-3637; www.hibeach.com), has a fully equipped two-bedroom vacation rental that sleeps up to six; rates range from $115 to $135.
Don't forget to add 11.42% in taxes to all accommodations bills. Parking is free.
