Frommer's Review
Managed by Radisson, this 24-year-old property is showing its age slightly, but it boasts a fantastic location directly on the Prado, just steps away from everything. The airy, expansive lobby with its colorful modern art leads to not-so-bright rooms with dark carpets and aging satiny bedspreads. They are very spacious, however, and those on the seventh floor and above come with wonderful views of the city. You can open the windows here, a rarity in high-rise hotels. The marble bathrooms are small but clean with big mirrors. There's a formal restaurant on the top floor with amazing views, and an informal coffee shop (adjacent to the lobby) that serves an excellent buffet lunch. The Plaza has the best hotel gym in La Paz, but the pool area is not very attractive. Guests get complimentary use of the Internet at the business center. All in all, this is a good value if you score a good rate, but if you're paying full price, choose Hotel Europa instead.
