Frommer's Review
This is part of a well-regarded chain of activity and babysitting centers, oddly located in the otherwise very adult Palms and Red Rock Resorts. Given the loss of the MGM Grand's child care facility, it's a boon to parents who have business or want a little quality adult time, and frankly to kids who might be not enjoying the Vegas experience as much as older folks.
The Red Rock facility is quite large, including a gym with a basketball court and a salon for the girlie-minded. Kids can play dress up, scoot around a doll's house, or try out air hockey and video games. The ratio of staff to kids is 1 to 10, and 1 to 4 for babies and toddlers. The employees are all cute and earnest, and have to pass certain qualifications to work here. It's certainly an option for parents who wish to have dinner or see a show.
In the Palms, 4321 W. Flamingo Rd., tel. 866/942-7777; in Red Rock Resort, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd., tel. 702/797-7646. www.kidsquest.com. $6.25-$7.25 per hr. Hours vary according to location; generally open until 11pm on weekdays and 1am on weekends.
