Frommer's Review
Configured to look like a beer garden, this German cafe brings in locals and homesick Bavarians alike. It's a small, not typically Vegas place, and because it's close enough to the Strip, it's a good place for refuge, though it could be crowded when you go. The food is better than fine, though certainly not "lite" fare, by any means. Recommended is the sausage sampler platter, so you can finally learn the difference between knockwurst and bratwurst, with sides such as potato pancakes, dumplings, excellent potato salad (choice of German or American style) and the like. Lunch brings sandwiches such as perfect schnitzel, with the pork loin twice the size of the roll. Wash it down with an imported beer. There is live entertainment on the weekends in the early evening. This is also a full-service deli and German market, so it's a good place to pick up a picnic for sightseeing outside the city.
