Frommer's Review
Right now, along with Sapphire, this is our favorite of the strip clubs, for several reasons. From the outside, this looks like one of the new fancy casino-hotels (if considerably smaller), but inside it's straight out of a Victorian sporting house (that's a brothel, by the way), down to replicas of 19th-century girlie pictures on the walls. On stage, the performers actually perform; anyone who has witnessed the desultory swaying of the hips and vacant stare of a bored, can't-be-bothered stripper will appreciate not just the bump-and-grind (some of which gets on the raunchy side) dance routines but also the special effects, from hair-blowing fans to smoke machines to a neon pole, that makes it all the more memorable. We are suckers for this combination of period-inspired style and contemporary approach to the business at hand. However, and we don't mean this in an off-putting way, "suckers" is a word to bear in mind; this is a place of commerce, and any adult-industry professional knows it. Try not to forget that, especially couples and first-timers, for whom this is still an excellent and comfortable venue. Note: The entrance to the parking lot can be hard to spot after dark. Go down Highland and keep your eyes peeled. Lap dances $30 and up. Open Sunday through Thursday 4pm to 6am, Friday and Saturday 4pm to 9am.
