Latacunga is a relatively quiet city, which only really gets going on weekend nights. I recommend the popular bar Galaxi (tel. 03/2811-185), located up the hill east of town in Barrio el Calvario and only open Friday and Saturday nights. Another hot nightspot is the nearby Sky Bar (tel. 03/2813-016), on Avenida Oriente, which has either karaoke or dancing Thursday through Saturday. Otherwise, you can head to Calle Padre Salcedo, where you'll find a cluster of local bars and nightspots.
