Fairmont Mont Tremblant ReviewThe high-end resort for families who want to stay directly on the mountain's slopes was built in 1996. The luxury property stands on a crest above the pedestrian village, as befits its stature among the Tremblant hostelries. It hews closely to the high standards of its Fairmont siblings across Canada (Château Frontenac in Québec City, the Queen Elizabeth in Montréal), with 13 levels of rooms including the appealing Fairmont View, which overlook the slope and the fairy-tale resort, and Fairmont Gold, which have access to a private lounge. Families can take advantage of arts-and-crafts programs, year-round indoor and outdoor pools, the 38-person outdoor Jacuzzi, and ski-in-ski-out accessibility to the chairlifts. An on-site Amerispa offers body wraps, facials, and a variety of massages. Even vacationers staying elsewhere come for the C$39-C$49 (£20-£25) dinner buffet of in-house restaurant Windigo. | 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
