Château d'Ouchy ReviewBuilt around 1900, this deluxe hotel uses a medieval (12th century) tower as its core. It enjoys the best location in all of Lausanne, across from the flower-bedecked pedestrian quay along the lake. Its once fortified tower, ideal for a honeymoon, is capped by a tiled roof and surrounded by a Renaissance style gables. Massive renovations have upgraded the entire hotel. After years of decline, all of the individually decorated bedrooms -- spacious for the most part -- have elegance, character, comfort, and charm, with modern conveniences.
