Frommer's Review
This lavishly timbered inn, the best accommodation in Suffolk, is one of the oldest and best-preserved buildings in a relatively unspoiled village. It has been so successful that it has expanded into an adjoining ancient wool hall, which provides a high-ceilinged guesthouse and raftered, second-story bedrooms opening onto a tiny cloistered garden. The bedrooms vary in size, according to the eccentricities of the architecture. Most have beamed ceilings and a mixture of traditional pieces that blend well with the old. The more expensive rooms feature four-poster beds. Bathrooms are immaculately maintained, with tub/shower combinations.
