Frommer's Review
The most advanced skiers are often attracted to this tranquil retreat because it was built by the family of Othmar Schneider, the Olympic ski champion. The many amenities make this a worthy government-rated four-star hotel. Rooms facing south have balconies and mountain views, while north-facing rooms have views of the village and the valley, but no balconies. Bathrooms are well maintained and contain tub/shower combinations and robes.
The Kristiania is a 3- to 5-minute walk above the resort's center. Most guests leave their ski equipment at the Skiraum in the center of town, where someone will wax their skis for the following day, so that they don't have to lug them uphill to the hotel.
The hotel contains a restaurant for half-board guests, and another one for a la carte diners who call and reserve a table. Austrian and international cuisine is served.
