Frommer's Review
When it was built in 1608, this comfortable, government-rated three-star hotel served as a shelter for tired mail-coach drivers. Most of the rustically attractive public rooms have fireplaces and deep-seated chairs. On the premises are a dining room and two old stubes, or taverns, where people can drink and dine a la carte. In 1997, a third stube was added to the existing two, using old timbers and antique panels removed from an older site for authenticity. The hotel is just at the edge of the village. Accommodations are spacious and decorated in a bright alpine style. All have comfy beds and small bathrooms with a shower or tub. Rooms at the nearby Hunting Lodge Post, or Jägdhaus (which is part of the hotel), cost the same but are slightly less desirable.
