Despite its modest size, Leiria has plenty of nightlife, both high energy and laid-back. We usually begin with a promenade along Largo Cândido dos Reis, which is lined with small tascas (taverns). If you're looking for something more substantial, try the well-upholstered Eurosol Bar, in the Hotel Eurosol, Rua Dom José Alves Correia da Silva (tel. 24/484-98-49). In a setting lined with unusual art, you can drink or flirt (or both) to your heart's content. Finally, look for one of the most diverse crowds in town at one of the town's most popular pubs, the Yellow Bar, Rua João Pereira 103 (tel. 24/482-70-82).
