Try the jams. Lia, wife of owner Ze Carlos, makes fabulous homemade jams and chutneys -- hence the name of this green and pleasant pousada. There are two older rooms and four newer ones. All are spacious but simply furnished, featuring single beds with slightly mushy mattresses. Bathrooms in all are large and bright. All have private verandas above a large garden that overlooks the town. Views from the older rooms are slightly better, but all are still excellent. Owner Ze Carlos is an avid birder and speaks fine English. Note that Casa prefers things quiet and peaceful; those with children under 10 may want to look elsewhere.
