Restaurants

If you're not continuing to Concord, which has more interesting dining options, Lexington offers some pleasant choices. The fresh soups and sandwiches at the cafe at the National Heritage Museum are popular for lunch; it's open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30am to 2:30pm. Peet's Coffee & Tea, 1749 Massachusetts Ave. (tel. 781/357-2090), is a good place for a pick-me-up. Bertucci's, 1777 Massachusetts Ave. (tel. 781/860-9000), is a branch of the family-friendly pizzeria chain. For a muffin or scone and a hot drink, seek out Lexington's branch of Great Harvest Bread Co., 1736 Massachusetts Ave. (tel. 781/861-9990).
