Well-maintained, carefully designed, and with an interior that was radically upgraded, this government-rated three-star hotel occupies what was originally built in the 1880s as the solid, four-story home of a prosperous local landowner. Michael and Daniela Vergeiner are the hardworking owners of a hotel whose beige-fronted facade wasn't altered during the renovations, and which, in summer, is still accented with window boxes filled with seasonal flowers. Bedrooms are monochromatic and painted in tones of beige and off-white, with shower stalls and a sense of cozy efficiency. An on-site cafe and restaurant, whose location less than 180m (591 ft.) from the town center encourages lots of local traffic, serves traditional platters of food, coffee, and drinks daily from 7am to midnight.
