This hotel's location, in the very center of town on a tree-lined street, couldn't be more ideal. The facade is painted a vivid red, with forest-green shutters and a canopy covering part of the ground-level cafe. Furnishings in the public areas are elegant and comfortable. The hotel was demolished in World War II but rebuilt in the 1950s. Rooms contain either antique furnishings or copies of traditional pieces. The comfort level is greater here than anywhere else in East Tyrol. Beds are luxurious and the bathrooms come in a range of sizes. Many windows open onto views of the nearby mountains. On the premises are a well-furnished bar and two restaurants. One restaurant is quite formal ; the other, less expensive one offers Italian food.
