Getting There -- Trains arrive every hour during the day from London's Kings Cross Station, a 2-hour trip usually requiring a change of train at Newark. National Express buses from London's Victoria Coach Station service Lincoln, a 4-hour ride. For schedules and information, call tel. 0870/580-8080 or visit www.nationalexpress.com. Once in Lincoln, local and regional buses service the county from the City Bus Station, off St. Mary's Street, opposite the train station.

If you're driving from London, take the M1 north to the junction with the A57; then head east to Lincoln.
