Frommer's Review
The White Hart is named after the emblem of Richard II. The inn's facade dates from the 1700s, when it was a luxurious private home. Its life as a modern hotel began in 1913 when the live-in owners started accepting paying guests. The hotel also hosted several meetings between Churchill and Eisenhower in the darkest days of World War II. The inn is still the best choice in town. Enter through a revolving mahogany door into a large and finely proportioned lounge filled with fine antiques. Each of the accommodations has some antique furniture and views of the old city. Try for a room in the older structure, where the units are more spacious and stylish than those in the lackluster annex.
Facilities:
Restaurant; bar; room service; laundry service

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
