These days, the emphasis on comforting, familiar, and well-prepared meals leaves little room for innovation. Pizza can be topped with scallops, jalapeños, and artichoke hearts. Almond-crusted trout, beef stroganoff, and crab cakes are some of the best bets. Count on clam chowder, burgers, nachos, and baby back ribs, too. Most of it is quite affordable, ensuring that locals of all ages make it their HQ.
