Frommer's Review
South of the town center, this 2-century-old house has been a B&B since 1951. Recent owners pushed out the walls for a 48-seat restaurant, and current overseers completed additional renovations in 2006. Two of the five units are suites, with fireplaces and whirlpool tubs.
The food emerging from the kitchen is contemporary in aspiration and execution, and served at both lunch and dinner from Tuesday through Saturday, with a Sunday buffet brunch from 11am to 3pm (reservations tel. 203/263-7005). Dinner entrees are priced from $22 to $35 and include such items as cedar-plank salmon with mango chutney and Long Island duck in a Grand Marnier reduction. There is a live combo on a couple of Friday evenings a month. Children must be over 10 years old.

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
