Frommer's Review
It's fiesta time nightly at this hot new dining experience installed on a back street in a former Catholic church from the 1700s. The church now simmers in the lights of thousands of candles as patrons enjoy the best mojitos this side of Havana, the kind Papa Hemingway sipped in the good ol' days. Stained-glass windows and wall-mounted antlers form the backdrop for the ground floor bar and the mezzanine restaurant. The tapas-style bar menu is a treat unto itself. Here you can order chorizo sausage and cheese or else blue fin crab croquettes, even tender cumin-laced lamb meatballs. Main dishes have spice and flair, including the slow-roasted duck with star anise and the roasted free-range chicken breast in a pistachio crust. Vegetarians delight in the roasted fig and peach tart tatin with sun-dried tomatoes and a spinach and fennel hummus. Serious carnivores will go for the whole, boned, and rolled roast suckling pig. A refreshing dessert is white peaches in basil brandy syrup.
