It's not like staying at the Y -- far above that -- and it's better than a hostel. These series of chain lodges are spread throughout Britain, offering comfortable, yet functional, bedrooms, each with a private bathroom with shower. View the lodge as a place for crashing for the night, not a place to relax and unwind. Facilities are few, except for the reception and a few vending machines. The Queens Square bus station is just a 2-minute walk from the hotel.
