In Senggigi--Restaurants in Senggigi cluster around Jalan Raya Road, roughly in the center of Senggigi action, and there are just a few decent choices outside of the hotels. Try Taman Senggigi, Jalan Raya (tel. 370/693842), which serves Indonesian and international dishes in a lush garden. Gili Masak, Jalan Raya (tel. 370/693105), has a creative menu rich in Indonesian spices. Of the hotel restaurants, try Alang Alang (tel. 370/693518), with its romantic atmosphere, or the Sheraton's Kebun Anggrek (tel. 370/693333), which serves good international cuisine.
In Kuta--Stick to the hotels here: Good bets are the Matahari Inn, the Kuta Indah Hotel and Restaurant, and, of course, the Novotel.
