The staff of this upscale gem is helpful, and all speak excellent English and can help with any eventuality. The newly redone lobby is tropical elegance, and the ocean-side garden at seaside is lush. Rooms, though done is tropical colors and tidy, are in uninspired chain decor. Bathrooms are large, and many rooms have great views. The pool is luxe, with a waterslide, and the nearby beach is free of vendors and touts. You might even be able to pet one of the tame deer grazing the compound. A recently completed beachfront spa pavilion is of the highest standard: ask the hotel's booking office about its fine vacation getaway packages. The three dining venues are all good choices, and there are some nice romantic getaways with views of the ocean on the grounds here.
