Getting There -- The Long Beach Peninsula begins just off U.S. 101 in southwest Washington. U.S. 101 leads north to Aberdeen and south to Astoria, Oregon. Wash. 4 leads to Long Beach from Longview.

Festivals -- Annual events on the Long Beach Peninsula include the Northwest Garlic Festival on the third weekend in June, the Sand-Sations sand-sculptures tournament in late July, the International Kite Festival in mid-August, the Cranberrian Fair in early October, and the Water Music Festival (chamber music) in late October.
