Frommer's Review
This inn's tone perfectly captures that of a country inn. Step through the front door and you enter rooms filled with a pale light that is filtered by walls of stained-glass windows salvaged from an English church. In the main lobby, dark fir-paneled walls and a fire crackling on the hearth all extend a classic country welcome. Most guest rooms are on the second floor, but, on the ground floor, a couple of suites overlook the gardens and have their own decks. All the guest rooms are filled with antiques and, even if sometimes a bit cramped, all feel very luxurious and old-fashioned. The Shoalwater Restaurant here is one of the state's finest restaurants .
