Frommer's Review
Decked out in traditional bistro garb (butter-yellow walls, artistic photos, French posters), this modest storefront restaurant attracts plenty of French expatriates and Euro-style denizens with a truly authentic menu. You won't get the classic French of caviar and truffles, but rather regional specialties such as rich veal daube, andouillette (tripe sausage), perfect steak fries, and a slow-cooked pork roast with horseradish lentils. The appetizer list usually includes a fantastic terrine, and bowls of house-cured cornichons (gherkins) and spicy Dijon mustard accompany bread to every table. Despite the occasional tinge of trendy attitude -- usually precipitated by the presence of habitués like Tom Cruise and Jennifer Aniston dining on the house favorite, macaroni and cheese with prosciutto -- you'll appreciate Mimosa for its casual, comforting bistro fare.
