Opened in February 2010, the JW Marriott is notable because of its location next to L.A. LIVE, a vast entertainment complex that includes the Staples Center, the Nokia Theatre, and more than a dozen restaurants, in a newly gentrified area of Downtown L.A. Ask for a room on one of the higher floors (the hotel has 21 stories), and you'll be rewarded with excellent views.
