Opened for more than 110 years, this is Southern California's oldest and largest independent bookstore. Don't expect dusty shelves and musty smells; it's clean, up-to-date, and chock-full of everything a book lover would want or need. The visiting-author series is one of the best in the area. Vroman's Fine Writing, Gifts, and Stationary store is right next door.
